Customs brokerage and freight forwarding
MHM Enterprises handles customs entries, ocean and air freight, and final delivery for importers and exporters who need their goods released on time.
What we do
One team for the paperwork, the freight and the visibility in between.
Entry filing, tariff classification, ISF and duty payment handled by a broker who knows your product line.
Bookings, export declarations and documentation for ocean and air shipments leaving the United States.
Status updates from vessel departure to final delivery, with a named contact when you need an answer.
Why MHM Enterprises
Delays at the border usually start with a missing document or a wrong classification. We check both before your shipment sails, so release is routine instead of a scramble.
Entries prepared and filed by licensed customs brokers.
A named broker who knows your account and your goods.
Clearance at ports across the country from a single desk.
Duties, fees and our charges shown line by line.
Importers and exporters on what it is like to work with our desk.
MHM Enterprises files entries remotely, so your goods can be cleared wherever they arrive, not only where our office sits.
Yes. With your commercial invoice and your trucker’s contact details we coordinate the entry in advance, and the carrier sets up PARS or PAPS for cross-border road freight.
To give every client compliant U.S. customs clearance and international forwarding, delivered by people who know the regulations and care how the shipment turns out.
To be the first call an importer makes when choosing a customs broker, because clearance with us is fast, predictable and clearly explained.
How it works
Share the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. We tell you if anything is missing.
Your broker assigns tariff codes, calculates duties and files the entry before arrival.
We answer any questions from customs and confirm release as soon as it posts.
Trucking is arranged from the terminal to your warehouse, with updates along the way.
One person who follows your shipments from booking to release.
Documents reviewed early so cargo is not left waiting at the terminal.
It is the number U.S. Customs uses to identify your business, normally your IRS employer identification number. If you do not have one, a Social Security number can be used, or we can file CBP Form 5106 to have a number assigned.
MPF is a fee Customs and Border Protection charges on most formal entries to cover the cost of processing them. It is calculated on the value of the goods, with a minimum and a maximum per entry.
A bond guarantees that duties, taxes and fees will be paid even if a problem arises after release. Formal entries require one, either a single-entry bond or a continuous bond that covers a full year.
Yes. Your address on file with Customs must match your records, so let us know and we will update your importer record before the next entry.
The Importer Security Filing is required for ocean cargo and must be submitted at least 24 hours before the goods are loaded at the foreign port. Late or inaccurate filings can be penalised.
Most entries with complete documents are released around the time the cargo arrives. Exams, missing paperwork or agency holds add time, which is why we review documents early.
Expedited clearance for a wide range of goods, from apparel and consumer products to perishables and regulated commodities.
